Kitchen Renovation Week Four
Hi Guys,
This project seems to be moving so quickly! We started the week waiting for the windows and doors to be delivered and has ended with the majority of the units being built and situated in their new home. It's so exciting coming into the room each day and do much changing day to day!
Day One
Monday started with the remaining preparation work for the new doors to be installed. The remainder of the lean to was been removed.
The windows on to the deck have been taken out and the brickwork beneath has been dropped. Wooden frames have been built and installed for the new French doors to fit into.
Day Two
On Tuesday the window fitters came to deliver and install the French doors and windows. Unfortunately they could only install the French doors on the Tuesday as they couldn't access the Sunroom to fit the windows.
Day Three
On Wednesday the builders started the day by clearing space for the window fitters to be able to install the new bay window and small side window in the Sunroom.
They then started to build the base units for the kitchen and placing them where they approximately need to go.
We also received the delivery of the tap for the kitchen sink and the cabinet handles which look amazing!
Day Four
On Thursday the builders installed the upper cabinets for the kitchen area and we received the delivery for the new internal doors.
Days Six and Seven
The builders came back over the weekend to progress the kitchen further. On Saturday morning they built our new Pantry, installed our new cooker hood and the new lights over the kitchen area.
By the time we arrived home on Sunday evening they had also installed the new fridge, added the handles and drawers to the cabinets installed earlier in the week and built most of the island units!
