Dark Chocolate Flapjacks

Deliciously rich and easy to make with ingredients that can be found in your home

Makes 20 squares

INGREDIENTS

400g Oats

200g Salted Butter

200g Golden Syrup

100g Soft Brown Sugar

100g Dark Brown Sugar

200g Dark Chocolate

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Measure out the oats and place in a large bowl.

In a small pan heat the sugars, butter and syrup until melted.

Pour the sugar mixture into the bowl of oats and stir until combined.

Pour into a grease proof paper lined rectangular pan and spread evenly. Put the flapjack mixture into the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Place on the side to cool slightly.

In a small bowl break up the chocolate at melt in the microwave.

Pour the melted chocolate over the flapjacks and leave to cool before placing in the refrigerator to set for one hour.

Take the flapjack out of the pan and slice into even squares.
